Advocacy
Advocacy is the heart of IAADP
Our vision says it all: IAADP envisions a world that provides full and complete access to assistance dog teams across a variety of disabilities without denial or hardship.
For almost 30 years IAADP has been advocating for people with disabilities partnered with an assistance dog. While we have helped to make many strides towards full accessibility, there are still challenges, still people and businesses that are clueless about the ADA let alone assistance dog access laws.
This part of the IAADP website will contain current laws that impact those of us with assistance dogs, businesses we frequent, schools we attend, modes of transportation we use, housing, and more. We will add your stories to this page as our website grows. Most importantly, we will be posting links and information as appropriate, to current legal issues and decisions.
Please remember we do not give legal advice – we do try to point you in the right direction though, of where you can find the advice or information you need.
